What a night.

I decide to take a break from homework to actually watch college football (something I haven't really done in a long, long time), and I get to witness:

a) FSU beating Bama. Go Noles!
b) Auburn beating Florida in what was an amazing, heart-pounding game. WAR DAMN EAGLE BABY!

I also think it's wonderful that Auburn was the team to break Florida's 11 game winning streak. And who was it that last beat Florida, I wonder? Oh yeah. AUBURN. Last season.

Geez, though. Now I know why I don't a) play video games featuring real-time battle systems and b) religiously watch college football. I would have had a heart attack loooooong ago.

Also, I realized yesterday that no, I'm not a bad-ass: I can't play DDR --AND-- juggle sticks of fire at the same time.

But seriously, even if you don't care for Quentin Tarantino, go see these movies--if only for the fake movie trailers. "Thanksgiving" is especially hilarious.

Back to working on three papers....

So I was lectured to for 45 minutes tonight about how much Florida sucks.

The lecturer was none other than Bruce Campbell.

(the other 30 minutes of his presentation were pretty interesting though)

I just received yet another collect call from the Mobile Penitentiary.

That's the fifth or sixth time they've attempted to call me. However, this was the first one I've received since early January--and now that I am so damn curious to know which inmate is trying to contact me, I decided, this time, not to hang up before the automated collect call voice was done with its little speech.

No luck. My phone decided not to take the call for me, and disconnected before the message was over. Crap.

One of these days, I'll find out...

It's the weekend! Yeay.

So anyway...... Seth was carded this afternoon at Wal-mart.

He was buying WD-40.

???

(honestly, that's just about as funny as last summer, when he was carded at Best Buy for a couple of CDs. I mean, he looks young, sure. But not THAT young.)

Discovered today that my roach problem has not disappeared as I had hoped. Nope--they just found better hiding places, and they mutated. I think they also developed some sort of cloaking device; I never notice them until they're right in my face.

They're getting smarter....perhaps all of the poison just increased their rate of evolution. 

In any case, I'm now looking for a new apartment.

School, school, presentations, research projects, final fantasy 12, I'm poor, but happy, really busy, yadda yadda yadda.

Well, that was nice. Just what I needed. Hooray for long weekends.

My bike is fixed. I now have faster transportation to and from my apartment! (Parking on campus is practically impossible, and 30-minute walks in the southern heat just weren't doing it for me).

Oh yeah, and you were right about that movie, Chris. I haven't laughed that hard since....well, I don't know. But that was a great movie.

In other news: got a killer coffee grinder for my birthday. Squee. I've been wanting one of those.

The first week of graduate school wasn't bad at all. My classes seem like they will be fun ones, and everyone I've met so far has been exceptionally nice. I'm sure that both of these might change down the road, but hey--at least I'm not taking 24 hours a semester anymore. Oh yeah, and I no longer work in a restaurant. Those two realizations alone are making this semester a happy one.
Oh yeah--and today, I've only seen one roach so far! Perhaps the end is near. Whoohoo!!

Now, I'm off to celebrate during my post-birthday, four-day holiday weekend (having no classes on Friday is awesome).

Lots, and lots, and LOTS of roaches. Apparently, they were the supreme rulers of my apartment before I moved in. Replacing the carpet must have scared them all out of their homes.

They attacked my donuts yesterday. Those bastards are goin' down.

Yesterday, I stocked up on spray and roach motels. The war has begun.





Otherwise, my new apartment is great! Now, I return to studying for these blasted exams.
